5 star food and service always

We love this restaurant. Always try to time at least one leg of our trip to get there around lunch. Great food (their cook(s) know how to fry green tomatoes right). Always a plate lunch special, which includes tea and dessert, for $8.50 I think. Good home cooking. Jemison exit off I-65. Oh, and room in parking to accommodate an RV and towed vehicle.

This is a great little restaurant. The owners are very friendly and inviting. They have so much on the menu. If you're craving it they probably have it.

Hair in the lettuce bowl on the salad bar. Fish and fries were frozen and fried. Neither was crispy. Pork chops were over salted and paper thin. Broccoli was overcooked and mushy. Service was slow. Men's room was a wreck. Better restaurants are a few exits to the North.

Stopped for lunch and they have a meat and 3 probably my new favorite place to get fried catfish. It was best ice had in a while..

Food looked like we cooked at home fish was small pieces, steak was well over done, I got a whole baked potatoe still wrapped in plastic had to ask for stuff to go on it. At 8:40 on saturday night they brought us a little tea and said that's all the tea we have for tonight sorry. And still had a huge party of people in the back . People waited to be checked out forever we waited to be waited on . Water going on in the floor from the salad bar and when we got salad they only had a few pieces of lettuce in the bowl and would not get more.we have not eaten there in over 6 years and now remember why . Nothing has changed about the choke and swallow

Salad bar was not good brown lettuce no tomatoes . But the hamburger steaks are good.

Don't order the HOMEMADE ONION RINGS as a appetizer. I paid $5 for 3 small soggy nasty onion rings. And I called in my order gave them 30 mins, paid for EVERYTHING to realize my husband was missing his side orders. And there was literally 1 PERSON in there when I picked up. I have lived in jemison for 6 years. 6 years ago I tried them out (cause back in the day it was AMAZING) IT WAS TERRIBLE! Gave them another shot....IT IS TERRIBLE! Bland basic food!

Very friendly, good waiting on customers, great food

I've been driving by this place for 30 years and never stopped.Parking lot full so I figured it was good.I must've caught them on a bad day.

Have great hot burgers and the good kind of ice

Nothing like a local mom and pop's resturant. Everyone was just good ole homfolks and greeted you and gave you immediate attention. Had a 3 egg "farmer's" omelet which is totally loaded and smothered in cheese. No doubt I'll be back if in the area!

CUSTOMER service is and was great

Quesadilla it was all made with Frozen plastic tasting food. The bread was nicely grilled but everything inside of it clearly had been frozen. The coleslaw my husband had tasted old. I would not rec

We have been here several times but it has been several months. Our meal was 26.83 and it was not good at all. The catfish plate was so much smaller and instant mashed potatoes. My wife's smothered chicken, she didn't even finish it. Both our meals were 10.99 a piece, but worth 5.99 and my wife had water and I had tea. Ridiculous price for such small portion and poorly prepared food. Service was good, but at that price... won't be back.

Read several reviews & decided to try it on our way to the Gulf. It was surprisingly right off the interstate in what seemed like nowhere. The building has seen better days but service was great. Everyone was super friendly. Catfish, fried green tomatoes and gator bites were great! Onion rings were Superb! We are both stuffed and still had enough leftover to fill a large to go box. 2 thumbs up.

Stopped at the Smokey Hollow restaurant on our way to Orange Beach. The building is old and doesn’t look good on the outside but the food was good and the staff were very friendly. I noticed it had a 94 health rating. The menu had plenty of options from salads, burgers, steaks, chicken and seafood - and a nice salad bar. The steak seemed to be the most popular dish with the folks around us (most of whom knew each other). I had smothered chicken and broccoli and my partner had fried catfish that he really enjoyed. Three stars just for the rough condition of building and bathroom.

This is my favorite restaurant in Jemison! If you don’t want to cook but don’t want to eat the same old fast food this is the place to go. They have a variety of different food. And they aren’t too expensive!

Good thick burger. Should really be as big around as the bun. Person I was with made the comment before I even had a chance to look. Was not an oversized bun either. The chicken wrap was pretty average. I expected a few more fries also since I had to order them separate from a sandwich.

What a gem! We were looking for some home cooking as we drove north from the Gulf. This little place was perfect! Food was delicious and our server Brianna was an excellent guide through the menu. Fried pickles, cornbread salad, homemade chicken and dumplings, peach cobbler....so good! I'm sad that I live so far away.

The green beans had about a3inch black hair the hamburgersteak was smaller than several other times.

Service was very friendly and quick. The best hot hamburgers around and my kid got the kids steak and ff and he loved it.

Delicious and priced well. Nice people, enjoyable environment. I had the hot breaded wings with the fries, and OMG you will want to come back everyday.

We took a chance on eating here because we’d never heard of it, and we were not disappointed. Home cooked BBQ pork was amazing! Teriyaki chicken was better than at some of the Japanese restaurants, the salad bar is fresh, and the pie is the cherry on top of a fantastic dinner!

Good food but very pricey

Food was cold.... Service was terrible and no bread with my steak.

Very interesting little diner/truck stop. The soup was good and the burger as well. My husband's meal was just ok. The cost was fair for the quality of the food. Our waitress was very nice.

This little honey hole was totally worth the trip. They offered anything from a tomato sandwich to a 16oz ribeye. I went with the country fried steak and it was as big as the plate the sides were a hefty helping as well. All of it was great even had good customer service!! Not much to look at the parking lot was not even lit up and very affordable. I definitely recommend this little country gem!!

The atmosphere is down home. Food was excellent I had the rib eye, I added nothing is was perfect. If you eat here try the corn bread salad.

Food was cooked fresh and served hot! Fast service and good servers. Great friend green tomatoes and roast beef.

Had a great first time experience. Me and the hubby. Highly recommend eating here fun and friendly place to go if your traveling and want a quick bite. Definitely will be back! Oh and loved there chicken and dressing!

Great food..very nice and friendly atmosphere

Me and my family went there for lunch today, and I have no complaints what so ever!! All of our food was hot and fresh,and delicious! The waitress was wonderful! Got the best service, and she made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Worst food I've ever had. Ordered BBQ plate. BBQ was mush. Came with fried potatoes and onions. Potatoes uncooked 1st time hardly any onion present. Sent back came out over cooked no onions. Told waitress and she replies the onions are just really small. I say there are no onions look. She turns and walks away I can understand mistakes when your really busy but when there's 2 tables in the whole restaurant there's no excuse. I highly recommend to stay away from this restaurant.There are much better choices out there. Burger King maybe?
